...we loved the lines and detail of this little buffet...
..but it was a little dark and dreary...
...so we started with a first coat of 'Old White'...
...not wanting to cover all of the dark...
...so the cute detail on the drawers would pop...
...and then a light second coat of old white..
...still leaving some dark showing through...
...showcasing the sweet details...
...a little more distressing...
...and we are loving the result...
...General Finishes Java Gel Stain...
...gave the top a nice finish...
...to contrast with our 'Old White'...
...finally it is all done and dry...
...and a lovely addition to the front room...
...of Bloom in Boulder City...
...do you like the upscale look?...
...painting this piece was so easy with Annie Sloan paint...
...everyone has fallen in love with it...
...we knew it wouldn't stay around long...
...and just as we suspected...
...it left the shop yesterday...
...purchased as a birthday gift...
...for one very happy gal!...
...we will miss it...
